About the presenting alumni
- Alumnus: Eefje Vercoulen
- Master's programme: Toxicology and Environmental Health
While studying biomedical sciences in Utrecht, I discovered that fundamental science was not for me. During my master's in toxicology and environmental health I focussed on the link between science and society at my internship at the NEMO science museum (science and education) and at the Trimbos-institute (alcohol and drug prevention). After my masters I continued to work for the Trimbos Institute where I monitored drug related incidents and set up a monitoring system for drug related death. Recently I switched from the drug monitoring department to the department of alcohol- and drug prevention where I will mainly focus on implementation of drug/alcohol prevention strategies in municipalities.
You have to register for the events (also for them to count towards the Broadening Life Scienes module). Register here.
