Short description

This course will take place during 2 weeks in March 2018, exact dates to be announced

This course focuses on endocrine and metabolic processes, and in particular their dysregulation in cancer and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Lectures and tutorials in the first week discuss the molecular mechanisms in the liver, pancreas, brain and fat tissue that are involved in regulating glucose and fat homeostasis.

Mandatory

CSDB: can be part of the 15 EC Theoretical Courses
BOD: can be part of the 15 EC Theoretical Courses (Four courses have to be chosen out of the six non-mandatory BOD-courses) only when you do not participate in the Track Cardiovascular Research (CVR). When you do participate in this track, this course can only be used as an Elective.
